Departing from Antananarivo the capital city, this tour will take you to walk in the stunning rainforest rich in wildlife searching for lemurs, one of Madagascar wonders and for endemic plants. Then you will sail across the quiet and lush Pangalanes channel before reaching Ankaninofy the nest of dreams to watch the largest lemur on earth called Indri indri as well as the rarest seen nocturnal lemur called Aye Aye while enjoying  a secluded spot on lakeside resort. Then this itinerary will end up in beautiful paradise island of Sainte Marie where you can enjoy a relax and sunbathing or water sport stay.

Upon Arrival at the Airport, meet and greet by our representative. Then transfer to the hotel.


 After breakfast we head for Ambohimanga or Blue Hill well known as UNESCO`s world heritage site in 2001. It is one of the twelve sacred hills during eighteenth century arourd the current Capital city. The Royal Hill of Ambohimanga consists of a royal city and burial site, and an ensemble of sacred places. It is associated with strong feelings of national identity, and has maintained its spiritual and sacred character both in ritual practice and the popular imagination for the past 500 years. It remains a place of worship to which pilgrims come from Madagascar and elsewhere.(
After Ambohimanga visit we carry on to Anjozorobe. The forest corridor of Anjozorobe is a protected area.
After a picnic lunch we start our trekking through the countryside passing through villages and fields to the parking lot of the protected area.
This trek called community immersion will allow you to experience villagers daily life who live in the protected area and its surroundings. Crossing rice fields and visiting the Ambodipaiso and Antsahabe villages, you’ll understand how to produce the Malagasy’s basic food, the rice and its long step.
During this tour, you will meet local craftsmen with their wickerwork and zebu cart manufacturing as well as get to know the social, architectural and cultural organization of Merina typical village.
The “Community Immersion” tour will also give you the opportunity to learn more about the positive impacts of the conservation biodiversity on the local community. You can participate to planting trees from the community nursery. So, you contribute to the development of the community and the sustainable management of the site’s natural resources.
Then in the evening, a night walk in the park to watch nocturnal lemurs such as the Lepilemur mustelinus or “Tsidy” and the Avahi laniger or “Fotsife” in Malagasy, chameleons( Calumma brevicornis, Calumma globifer and Calumna gastrotaenia); Frogs (Mantidactilus and gypheromantis). Also, a lot of various insects in the Anjozorobe Angavo forest, among them the stick insect (phasme), snakes and birds.
After night walk, dinner and overnight at Saha Forest camp or similar.


In the morning day walk in the park of Anjozorobe forest corridor with local guide you may see the Indri- Indri the largest lemur in the world and the Sifaka , a dancing lemur. These two lemurs are the highlights of the park. But you may come across other species of lemurs and reptiles. This park is a hotspot for bird watching. Flora is rich in this park apart from fauna, like native and endemics plants of tropical forest.(fern, hardwood, medicinal plants). The forest is considered sacred by local people who believe ancestors spirits live in the forest.
After the day walk, we leave Anjozorobe and head for Andasibe. Lunch on the way. We drive through Eucalyptus forest, rice fields and villages before joining the asphalt road, leading to the East part of Madagascar.

 Full day dedicated to explore Andasibe national park. Early start for hike, lemurs will be active for foraging in this tropical rainforest around sunrise. Here is the home of the largest living lemur in the world. It is called « indri indri » and its wailing sounds will echoed throughout the park areas and its surroundings inviting us to meet lemurs. A part from lemurs, this park is a heaven for nature lovers seeking for wildlife discovery with various birds, colorful chameleons and other fauna and flora like orchids,(flowering season between September and January) tropical hardwood: rosewood, ebony, medicinal plants, palm trees. Andasibe National Park is renowned for its great biodiversity.
In the afternoon you will continue along the visit of Vakona reserve with the Lemurs Island and crocodile park.

  Rise early, you will leave the lush chain of rainforest and drive eastwards to Akanin`ny Nofy. Travel through a wide range of green from rice farming and hills dotted with villages. Then you will pass by Brickaville known for its sugar cane plantation then take a muddy road to Manambato where the boat await us. The boat transfer to Ankanin`ny Nofy lasts one hour on the Pangalanes channel and the lakes Rasoabe nd Rasoa Masay.

Today is dedicated to make a dream come true which means chilling out and watching the wild life in the place. Ankanin`ny nofy means the nest of dreams. This is the place to be which allows you to combine relax and nature watching with its private reserve of lemurs and tropical plants. You can enjoy a stroll or a hike around the park to watch the 10 species of lemurs, from the indri- indri the largest lemur, then the sifaka, a dancing lemur to the smallest diurnal lemur the bamboo lemur while smelling the vanilla pods, cloves, cinnamon. This reserve covers 50Ha with rare and endemic terrestrial and arboreal fauna as well as a magnificent flora (orchids, carnivorous plants, ebony, mahogany, traveler’s trees) and the most beautiful palms specific to Madagascar, including the rarest varieties (Dypsis, Ravenea, Orania, but also Voanioala and Lemurophoenix).
In the evening board on speed boat for a night walk in the Aye Aye island. Searching for the Aye Aye lemur can be challenging but it`s really worth.

After breakfast, you set for a short journey on speed boat to meet your vehicle. This is an opportunity to see morning daily life along the canal with villages and local pirogues then you will get back on the overland journey to Mahambo on the east coast passing through Tamatave city. This plays an important role in Madagascar economy as it hosts the first port. After you keep on till Mahambo and drive along the eastern coast with a stunning view on the Indian ocean. Late in the afternoon you will reach Mahambo, a beach resort.

 After breakfast, you will board on speed boat heading for Sainte Marie Island. The rest of the day is free at your leisure.
Sainte Marie is a small Island with 50 km length and quiet, safe town.
Optional activities are available, you can get information from the hotel reception desk like deep sea fishing, snorkelling, canoeing or you can stroll along the beach or ride a bike for an island tour.

 Day at leisure. Relax or active stay. It`s your choice. No set program. However many optional activities are available from the hotel reception desk like fishing, boat trips, motorbike or bicycle renting.

Fly back to Antananarivo. Your last day accommodation is near by the airport. If time allows, visit of handicraft market. We end our tour by your transfer for an outbound flight at Ivato International Airport.
