Day 1


Upon your arrival, a meet and greet assistant will welcome at the airport. Then transferred to your hotel.

Day 2

Antananarivo - Andasibe

Today you leave the capital city Antananarivo and head eastward. Along the way you will wind through hilly villages of the central highlands. You will pass by handmade bricks kilns, rice farming and veggies gardens and waterfall. Stop in a private reserve to get a glimpse of Madagascar wonders like lemurs, chameleons and snakes. Then you will continue along to Andasibe, a former logging centre and home of the biggest lemurs in the world. This evening you will have the opportunity to experience night walk in the National park for nocturnal primates such the smallest nocturnal lemur called microcebe and other species.

Day 3


Full day dedicated to explore Andasibe national park. Early start for hike, lemurs will be active for foraging in this tropical rainforest around sunrise. Here is the home of the largest living lemur in the world. It is called « indri indri » and its wailing sounds will echoed throughout the park areas and its surroundings inviting us to meet lemurs. A part from lemurs, this park is a heaven for nature lovers seeking for wildlife discovery with various birds, colorful chameleons and other fauna and flora Andasibe National Park is renowned for.
In the afternoon you will continue along the visit of Vakona reserve with the Lemurs Island and crocodile park.

Day 4

Andasibe - Antsirabe

Rise early, you will leave the lush chain of rainforest and drive back toward Antananarivo without passing through it. Travel through a wide range of green from rice farming and hills dotted with villages till Antsirabe. On the way, You will briefly stop in Ambatolampy, a small town well known for family run workshop of cooking pot made from recycled aluminum. After lunch you will carry on to Antsirabe, a thermal city with hot springs discovered by Norwegian missionaries in the XIX century. A city tour along the main sightseeing sites like hotel des Thermes, a city architecture heritage from French colonization then visits of handicrafts workshops of zebu horn and tin recycling for car, bike miniature and handmade embroidery. You can explore Antsirabe by bicycling or rickshaw riding.

Day 5

Antsirabe - Morondava

Early morning, you will leave the thermal city of Antsirabe and head westward to Morondava.
A day drive along an undulating highland countryside. On halfway of this journey you reach Miandrivazo with a scenic view over its valley dissected by the Tsiribihina river . Here is the starting point for boat trip on this river. After lunch you continue in the west part of Madagascar, landscape is wide open through savana and grassland. You may pass by herd of zebu, welcome to the Sakalava territory which is one of the eighteen ethnic groups in Madagascar. Their livelihood is based on zebu farming. As you will get close to Morondava, Baobab trees pop up along the road or in the middle of rice fields. Late in the afternoon you reach Morondava, a beach resort.

Day 6

Morondava - Bekopaka

You may start very early today if you want to see the sunrise on the famous « Allée des baobabs ».
Today, you will depart from Morondava and head to Bekopaka village, gateway to the Tsingy national park. Along the way you will drive through the famous « Allée des baobabs » or baobabs avenue. We stop shortly there to take some nice shots of this splendid scenery. Then you carry on across the dry and spiny forest and adobe villages along the western coast. On the way you will cross two rivers Tsiribihina and Manambola on ferries. This cross country drive offers an opportunity to enjoy for birdwatchers as this road is known for its vast bird and wildlife population. In the late afternoon, you will reach the Tsingy de Bemaraha, a site of UNESCO World heritage of Humanity.

Day 7


Today you will spend the whole day in the Great Tsingy, one part of the national park of « Tsingy de Bemaraha » . You will hike in this cathedral of limestone with a private guide. It`s a labyrinth from dense network of deep caves, cracks and blocks of limestones carved in blades. This real wonder of geological phenomena dated from 200 million years. This karst massif was former coral reef and shells. They were located under the sea then has been uplifted after the sea withdraw. The current form is from an ongoing erosion of wind, rain and sun. This park houses lemurs like dancing sifaka and endemic birds like blue and crested couas.

Day 8


Enjoy a morning walk in the small Tsingy. You will hike through the mazes with the care of private tour guide and cross a  view point to get a panoramic view over the pinnacles, the surrounding of Bekopaka village and the Manambolo river. In the afternoon you will go punting on the Manambolo river with local dugout canoe  along its gorge shadowed  by the towering cliffs. Then visit canyons and caves to see stalactites and stalagmites formation. Sunset over the river with the silhouette of amazing Tsingy .

Day 9

Bekopaka - Morondava

Overland to Morondava through the savannah and spiny forest dotted with adobe villages . Along the way you will cross two rivers: Manambolo and Tsiribihina. Before arriving in Morondava, a short detour in the baobab in love and sunset along the world famous baobab avenue. The baobab avenue is an impressive gangway of huge baobab trees along the road between Morondava and Belo sur Tsiribihina in the Menabe region of western Madagascar. Throughout the world there is eight species of baobab and Madagascar homes six of them. Adansonia grandidieri is the specie along this baobab avenue. It can reach 800 years old with height of 98 feet.

Day 10

Morondava - Miandrivazo

Morning relax along the beach . Morondava is a quiet, safe town. Enjoy a stroll around the town and its market or chilling out in the white sandy beach. Then overland journey to Miandrivazo.

Day 11

Morondava - Antananarivo

Depart for Antananarivo. You leave the western region of Madagascar and baobabs trees and travel back to the patchwork of ricefield and redbrick villages of the central highland. You will have lunch on the way. Late in the afternoon you will turn up in the capital city of Madagascar: Antananarivo
